There are quite a few of us who have not really discussed the after-effects of Hurricane Katrina . We continue to clean up, clear out and re-construct what is left of our homes, lives and sanity. Sometimes we move forward not realizing the heavy burden we are carrying most commonly known as post traumatic stress. Stress that continues as we on the Mississippi Gulf Coast are continually ignored or dismissed in the media while other areas are focused on with a zoom lens,such as the tragedy of not maintaining ones own city structures resulting in self-imposed destruction.

 Many of our family, friends and relatives had to move to other geographic locations in order to monetarily support themselves and their future. Permanent moves for some and temporary for those who are awaiting the local economy to be able to provide jobs again.

 Why did this Hurricane happen to us? Because it did. You see, the answer is different for every person. Each of us has a distinctly unique experience and story to tell. Many of the stories are still unfolding...
