Hydrating Oatmeal Facial Mask

Ingredients

This oatmeal mask is healing and soothing to winter ravaged skin. It is one of the favorite facials I blended in the Salon and in workshops. Whenever possible use organic or certified organic ingredients.

Food Processor

  • I find it best to process the Rosebuds first
  • Add the Lavender buds
  • Add the Oatmeal and Powdered Mild
  • Blend the ingredients until you have achieved a  fine, grainy powder.

Store

Store the dry ingredients in small mason jar or decorative bottle with a tight cap or cork. Since the ingredients are dry the shelf life  will be 6 months to a year depending on the expiration dates of the ingredients you have used.

Usage Directions

  • In a small mixing bowl or flex bowl:
  • Use about 1 TBLS Oatmeal mixture for the face
  • Add 1 drop of Twilight Lavender Oil ( or oil of your choice)
  • Slowly add warm water
  • Blend well with a facial brush until you achieve a thick cake-batter- like consistency

(There are a number of variations you can use or add to this formula)

Application

  • Apply mixture to cleansed skin
  • Leave on for 20 minutes
  • As the mixture dries you skin will feel a tightening sensation, if this is uncomfortable mist your application with water to keep it moist
  •  Use a warm damp washcloth as a compress over the face to moisten the mask
  • Rinse mask with warm water

Finish

Apply Twilight Fragrance-Free lotion
