Aromatherapy Baths
I was taught by a healer from Belize that showers are for cleaning and baths are for healing. So that being said here are some basics tips for using essential oils in your bath.
- Fill your tub with warm water that is comfortable before adding the oils. The steam will carry the essential oils into the air and you may lose some of the healing properties of absorption through the bath if you add the oils while the tub is filling. Inhalation will be great, though.

Tips & Facts
- Essential oils are about 100 times stronger than the herb of their counterpart
- There are about 200-250 drops of oil in a 10 ml bottle depending on the viscocity of the oil
- The word essential refers to the life force or essence of the plant
- Almost all essential oils must be diluted before use with the most common exceptions being Lavender , Tea Tree and Chamomile.

Skin Patch Test
Whenever you begin using a new product on your skin we suggest performing a skin patch test.
There are a couple different ways to do this:
1.
- Apply the new product to a soft skin area such as your inner elbow or behind your ears.
- Wait 24 hours to see if any irritations occurs.
- Take into consideration that a percentage of the product will be absorbed into the skin and a percentage will evaporate.
2.
- Apply a small amount of product to a soft skin area such as your inner elbow or behind your ear.
- Cover with a band-aid which will minimize the amount of evaporation into the air.
- Wait 24 hours to see if any irritation occurs
